Immunity against foreign ideas
At the Urgut branch of SamDU, a spiritual and educational event was held under the slogan “Enlightenment Against Ignorance” on the topic “Radicalism — a Threat to Social Stability.”
The event was attended by the Acting Director of the branch Shavkat Berdiev, First Deputy Director for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Enlightenment Work Zikirillo Yazdonov, Director’s Advisor Sanjar Eshonqulov, Head of Department at the Imam Bukhari International Research Center under the Cabinet of Ministers Jonibek Jumayev, and senior researcher of the Center Tohir Evadullayev.
The event was opened by the Acting Director, who emphasized that at a time when foreign and destructive ideas are being instilled into the minds of young people, it is more important than ever to guide them on the right path, shape a healthy worldview, and educate them in loyalty to the Motherland and respect for national values.
“Radicalism is not only a religious threat but also a spiritual one. Our goal is to further illuminate the hearts of students with the light of enlightenment, protect them from any foreign ideas, and strengthen their way of thinking. Ignorance can be defeated only with enlightenment,” said Shavkat Berdiev.
During the event, representatives of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, Jonibek Jumayev and Tohir Evadullayev, provided detailed information about the socio-psychological roots of radicalism and extremism, the threats they pose to social stability, and the role of youth in preserving religious tolerance, peace, and harmony.
Participants also shared their views on the topic, emphasizing that strengthening spiritual immunity and promoting a healthy mindset is the duty of every young person.
